" When a man kills a woman, some would like to call it femicide and bring up toxic masculinity. But when a woman kills a woman because of a romantic relationship (so to speak), why does no one make comparisons and promote the expression of toxic femininity ?" This is what the deputy secretary and MEP of the League, Roberto Vannacci, asks in a post on Facebook. His reasoning is inspired by the tragedy that occurred on May 23 in the eastern suburbs of Naples, where Ilaria Capezzuto shot her partner, Daniela Strazzullo (who died the following day) and then took her own life with the same weapon. "When I say that one of the most accredited causes of this type of crime is having educated weak young people and having elevated weakness to a virtue - concludes Vannacci - I am confirmed by these unfortunately tragic events".
